Man, I sleep a lot, these days. Mom must be out of town.;)
So: Watched the American Idol results show last night, and yes, the seams/levers and pulleys really are showing hard, these days. I'm not enamoured of this new judges-can-save-one-person-per-season-from-elimination idea, either, though I'm certainly happy they chose not to shoot that wad right away (not least because Jasmine was annoying and Jorge was boring). However, I can't help but note that this means there is now only one black person left on the show overall, and seeing both brown guys immediately drop into the bottom two on Week One was, to say the least, disheartening. Am I registering these statistics more than usual, for (ahem) some reason?
(And, appropos, I find myself agreeing with somebody's recent observation that Watchmen really is "a very white property". Yup: 22 years ago, long before Rap became mainstream/pop; it's pretty hilarious to look at it now and register that it has main characters feeling conflicted about people finding out they're Polish.)
At any rate. Rod today, or at least I've heard nothing to the contrary. New Supernatural tonight. In between, I'm bound and determined to do another 1,000 words, as well as all that laundry and crap. And burn those discs for sovay...
