Jun. 2nd, 2012 12:27 amBy 12:30 PM today I'm supposed to be in rehearsal with the Band With No Name; 2:30 PM is when I get to Bakka-Phoenix, and 3:00 PM is when the launch starts. Mom's taking Cal. After that, I guess it's dinner with Steve and maybe Snow White & The Huntsman. Hopefully the weather will have improved by then, since today's been one long downpour.
I'm really tired. It's been a damn odd week. "Oubliette" is moving forward, though slowly; I've done a couple of interviews, gotten good news about things being published, etc. On the other hand, a guy I've known intermittently for years, one of the Serial Diners, died in his sleep last night--he couldn't've been more than 45, from what I recall him looking like. It'd be a bit of a stretch to call him a friend, but I saw him just two weeks ago, at the Reading of Single Pages; he was dry and mellow, like always, and I left thinking he'd always be there, a constant fixture. But he wasn't, so he won't be. Just like none of us are or will be, probably.
Anyhow. I need to go to bed, and get off Tumblr for a while. "Tomorrow"'s going to be very interesting.
