Unashamed With a Wicked Tongue
Research: Read a few Silver John stories, including "Desrick at Yandro"; re-read Mignola's The Crooked Man and Others. Watched a lamentable lot of T-Bag footage, including the incredibly hilarious scene from Prison Break Season Two (which I'd completely forgotten about) where Lincoln and Michael catch up with him just before he eats the map they're looking for, and Lincoln kicks the crap out of him while Michael--usually not the most playful dude in the world, which makes it even funnier--yells, in a faux-Alabama accent: "Hayyyyy, Pretty! What happened to yo' hayyyand?"
And no, I'm not finished transcribing my notes, just yet--but that's good. Because one way or the other, since yesterday, the "Black Bush" file has already gone from zero to 2,614. I have a beginning, an end, much of the middle; it's alive. I'm happy.
But now I have to go drink some tea to fend off a caffeine deprivation headache, then make it over to Aveda for my haircut. Then pick up the dude, back here, and keep on writing. There'll be some Chapter Three action later on, I suspect.

"Where Did She Wander?" is the one that freaked me out as a not-all-that-small child. I am also fond of "Vandy, Vandy," because there should be more magic with George Washington.
