So...Dad's second letter came. Better than the first one, though he closes with a paragraph which sounds for all the world as though he genuinely expects/wants to not hear from me or about Cal for an entire year. I'm going to give him the benefit of the doubt on that one, though I'm screwed if I know why I should. And oh, how I do not want to have the second part of this conversation! Just skip straight to monologuing intermittently at him about what's going on with Cal and "with" me, though I genuinely don't believe he much cares about that latter part. What's going on with you, Gemma? Oh, not feeling too good, 'cause my Dad crapped on me long-distance--but I'll get over it, because I have work to do and a life to live. You?

Anyhow: Here's something better--Dave Nickle went into the World's Biggest Bookstore today and found copies of A Book of Tongues, both out on the table and on the shelves in the Horror section. He took photos. I'm really happy. Will go by tomorrow, take some of my own.

Okay, I'm knackered. Off we go.
