...ie the 17th, when I can officially start working out again. But I actually started working out again yesterday, right in the middle of runrunrunday--I went in to get my gym entry-tag replaced, since it frankly looked like a dog had been chewing on it, only to have the girl on the desk inform me that A) there was a brand-new BodyCombat class which B) was starting in about 45 minutes. I virtually ran home, changed shoes and ran back, and the result was great (at the time--I'm sure as hell feeling it now); I wasn't anything special, but I kept up, and that counts for a lot. Especially so since half the class was made up of routines I'd never done before, including a demented Muay Thai section which was eight minutes long.
Anyways. Signed off on the hardcover Book of Tongues extra (Chapter One of A Rope of Thorns), which I think I'll get to check one more time before it officially goes to print (always something). Inputted about 500 words' worth of notes yesterday, in and between, and I'm hoping to enlarge on that today. Also informed the Sunburst jury of my conflict of interest re all four CZP Publications titles for 2009, which means I get to read them, but not weigh in on them; too bad, but expected. Someone'll probably be saying the same about me, next year.
Cal's been pretty good recently, all told. The other night he let us give him a genuine bath, for the first time in what seems like weeks. I think he may have finally figured out that there's no good reason to be afraid of the shower-head, especially since he's often seen me using it on myself, with both casual aplomb and apparent enjoyment. OTOH, he's developed this weird habit of wanting to watch Olympic footage on YouTube--coverage of the women's speed-skating, which he runs over and over. Still, it makes a nice change from "All the Cats Join In", this interminable Benny Goodman and his Orchestra thing from Disney's Make Mine Music!. Serves me right if he turns out to like/play jazz.
Okay...really uncomfortable now. I need to do some chores, have some coffee and unkink, before getting back to it.
