Though I am (as we all know) just so great!, the answer to the question So where is my money? is...um, nowhere. Because barely two weeks into December, we're frickin' stoney broke again.

This comes at a slightly difficult moment, since I finally got weirded out enough by the look (and smell) of my left breast earlier today to go back to the doctor. And yes, it's a light topical infection, for which he gave me an antibiotic prescription that Steve will now have to pick up, since Steve has the credit card. "Should knock it out in twenty-four hours."; well, guess we'll see. Meanwhile, I still have guck all over the inside of my bras, and while my right breast is actually moving around like a boob again, the left stays stiff and weird and infected...

Man, I'm just tired. I'm really tired of this crap. And Christmas is coming. Yup: That'll be fun.

Otherwise: Did 500 words on A Rope..., moved stuff around. Did 700 on "History's Crust", though the section itself isn't anywhere near finished. That whole file needs a thorough going-over, too. May have an edit to officially begin on A Book... by Friday, which would rock. In the meantime, I still have to look over my copy for EVolVe, and send that back. So there's stuff, as ever. There's always stuff.

Urrrgh. Life is up and down, by nature, right? Is it ever.

-_-

Here's hoping the antibiotics clear up the infection quickly.

I so hear you on the money front. We have unsustainable credit card debt and there are almost no night jobs here in Buffalo, which is the only time I can work. I'm bending over backwards to get a $9 an hour video store job that will probably only give me 29 hours a week. Every move I make is a delaying tactic to keep us in our house. We literally have no food in our house right now (except for the cats' food). Last night we ate a bag of potato chips. I'm heading to the grocery store with $100 today, and you can bet there will be a lot of rice and "just mix with hot water" meals. When I finish my next book, the advance is going to a friend who loaned me money. Oy and vay.

Man, I'm sorry. You're in far worse straits, and you have a kid, too! (Though grantedly, we are also in credit debt up to our eyeballs.) Just a shitty time all 'round. Good luck on that job.

I hope the cream works - I had a slight infection on one of my toes once and it worked pretty quickly, two days or so, I hope yours works even faster than that...

Have you been back to the hospital for a check-up? (I guess I should say, have you been discharged?) Until you are okay I think they are responsible for seeing that you're all right...

((((((((HHHHHHHUUUUUUGGGGGGGGSSSSSSSSS))))))))) and good luck!! Actual honest-to-God real email on Monday...
