Dead?

Nope. But everyone here's been carefully skirting a mutual cold, which never helps. And I'm just trying to force myself headlong through Chapters Twenty-One and -Two (plus Afterword!), while still doing stuff like helping Mom get off to Sudbury, working out, answering 'mail, looking after Cal; things are happening, it's just that I forget to take notes, and then forget to post about them later on.

So here's at least one thing I've stuck my head up far enough to notice, over the last half-week: Alexa C., aka marythefan, finally finished her epic "Beggars' Banquet", a post-series rotating three-way between Beecher, O'Reily and Alvarez (OZ's primary survivors), over at the OZ Big Bang site (http://unitb.slashcity.net/bigbang/banquet.html). It's gorgeous, totally in character, and makes me sadly affectionate for this deadest of all dead fandoms. (Also comes with art, and even a fanmix!) So hie thee over and enjoy, unless you're one of those people for whom a paucity of Keller spells no-go-here, at which point too damn bad.;)

Okay, that's all for now--I need to dress and meet Mom, get her to the bus-stop on time, etc. G'day, all.

For some reason the title of this made me think of the Vestibules' sketch Laurence Olivier for Diet Coke.

That is, indeed, just as funny as you always told me it was. I mean, it's obviously not Olivier, which is too bad...especially when we've already seen the plot-specific magic you can work with outtakes from actual Olivier films in Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow. But it's still pretty friggin' hilarious.;)

I loved that piece.

ThankyouThankyouThankyouThankyouThankyou!

Been searching for that on CD for ages.

I saw Terrence Bowman in a stage production - Stage Trek. They took the scripts from the original Star Trek series and performed episodes. He played Kirk perfectly.
