Useless Tuesday

handful_ofdustThere's been a power outage in my area--only my area, thank God, rather than up and down the whole coast like last year--so I've been holed up at my Mom's all day, doing shit-all except trying to mollify Cal, who is teething HARD. He slept for about three hours, then woke up sweaty and screeching, which hasn't really stopped yet; that awful hacking sob is back, the one which sounds like retching. And I can't do a fucking thing about it, obviously, since nothing I've floated thus far has worked. THe fact that I left the Advil back at the apartment probably isn't helping...
Now I have to wait for Steve to get his fucking ass over here, so I can go back, see how things are, pack some stuff if the power isn't back up and come back over here. One way or the other, this whole Tuesday has been a startling waste of time, considering A) the Montage piece is still due and B) I have to teach tomorrow, not knowing whether or not the notes I need have already been printed out, or whether I'll have a TV/DVD player, or what. Or WHAT.
