Sun Comes Up, It's Early Mornin'
500 words straight out the gate. I feel remarkably better, probably because of getting at least eight hours of sleep; sort of sick how that's the extreme exception, rather than the rule.
In and between, I also just finished Rob Thurman's Nightlife, a Jim Butcher-by-way-of-Supernatural urban dark fantasy which has some fun world-building, but unfortunately suffers from an early Butcher-esque surfeit of what I like to call "reflexive rimshot syndrome"...ie, really horrible things are happening, and yet our protagonist feels the need to continually crack wise in a truly annoying fashion. This is particularly annoying when said awful things are being done by the protagonist, who spends the latter half of the book possessed. Still, I may check out the sequel, if I can find it for cheap/through the library. As I know some people do.;)
Anyhow...I need to get dressed, eat something, then go off to BodyFlow. But yeah! Good morning, so far.
Amended to add: And--once again, you knew it was coming! At 8,000 words plus, Chapter Nine becomes Chapters Nine and Ten.1. Off to the usual sources. Enjoy.;)
