"Skull Fragment Armor!"

That's the single best Cannibal Corpse title I've found thus far. Oh yeah, there's grosser ones--a lot of 'em--but this one had a simple yet eerie grandeur. And better yet, the song attached to it makes a lot of sense! I might even want to listen to it, if I could find it somewhere for free.
Speaking of music, meanwhile, I received a really wonderful CD from my pal baggyeyes, full of evocative roots music just perfect for writing Book of Tongues action to (including the Neville Brothers' "Yellow Moon", which I've been missing for years! Excellent!). And I also happened to trip across Otis Taylor's Recapturing the Banjo, mainly because I was tracking down the song "Ten Million Slaves" (featured in the trailer for Michael Mann's Public Enemies), and it's amazing too. Plus, it has a murder ballad on it called "Bow-Legged Charlie"...how could I NOT like it?
Anyways: Transferred the content of my outline into the main file's body. Now I'm moving stuff around and writing dialogue/scenes down as they come to me. Again, I don't want to get sidetracked, but in my experience, heavy outlining is almost always better than less outlining. I've already solved problems I didn't know I had.

Date: 2009-04-09 02:34 am (UTC)Adversaries will cower
In the wake of his appearance
Clad with remains of their friends...
Skull fragment armor
It's a trophy of war
Pieces of cleft craniums shield the gore
Towering clad in bone
Cranial plate mail spattered
With the blood and brains of the foe...
...blah blah blah, brain-cakes.;)
