God Help Us All

In a vain effort to try and feel not completely useless, I just wrote a 1,524-word essay about Daimon Hellstrom, Son of Satan (which I kept misspelling throughout as "Son of Stan"). Hopefully, it will end up as Cool & Dark Column #7. I also researched the city of Ys and Princess Dahut (sovay will know why), did laundry, and scribbled some more notes for Chapter Six of A Book of Tongues, which I feel...almost ready to jump back into. But now I need a shower, some food, to pick up Cal, and to run some other assorted errands. TGIF, yo.;)

Yeah. I don't think I'd ever read that part of the lai where she asks the sea to be her husband before; evocative.

Here; have a photograph I ran into last night. It's one of the more beautiful colors of ocean I've seen. I might ask to marry that.

I'm fairly certain "Son of Stan" was a Fred Hembeck character at some point...and if he wasn't, he should have been.

"Son of Stan Lee"? Of course!

Wielding his blood-red pen, summoning the demonic forces of editorial oversight, and above all, proclaiming the dread word "Excelsior!"

I mean, hey, it's no weirder than Fin Fang Foom.
