handful_ofdustTrying to ease myself back into writing, but it's hard, Mommy! I keep getting distracted by stuff I actually do have to do--line edits on "Marya Nox", for example, plus new bios for Mike Allan and Bill Breedlove, plus some physical correspondence that'll eventually require me going to the post office--as well as stuff I don't have to do per se, but which should get done nevertheless (chores, personal hygeine, Cal, etc.).
In good news, I finally made an executive decision about A Book of Tongues, and have officially cut Chapter Two into Chapters Two and Three; this means that once I'm finally done with this friggin' conversation my characters are (still!) having, and fix the synopsis up to include all the plot twists I've figured out in the meantime, I'll have an entire official pitch-package to show around. I also found some old but helpful notes for "Signal to Noise" and inputted them, along with the connect-the-dots stuff for "Strange Weight" I scribbled down at the gym the other day. Bad news: Haven't heard back from Michael McMaster in a while, and my brain seems to be moving at half-speed. Plus it's Friday, so if I don't get something hooked up by tonight, I'm gonna be really pissed with myself. Ugh.
Great FreakAngels today, though. Check it out! And last night's Supernatural really rocked as well; emphasis on minor characters, Sam and Dean don't know/can't do everything, stomach-punch twist at the end. I'm a happy camper.;)
