Outline: Finished, Me: Tired

I've often said that "energy attracts energy." This must be why Michael McMaster called last night with a pressing, logical reason for us to cobble together a draft of Year Zero the movie together within the next two weeks, while I'm simultaneously consumed by A Book of Tongues, need to get moving on the CBC adaptation pitch, and still have many other deadlines to fill. Plus Cal, household shit, etc.

Last night, in a fit of activity, I finished the initial outline for A Book of Tongues. While it may indeed change in the execution, it seems to make sense to me; nevertheless, I'll pass it by kelpqueen and Steve later on, and see if I'm fooling myself.

Now, food. And Flow. And True Blood marathon, all day long.

Yeah. It's going to be particularly difficult because we're showing it to someone who wants "pure horror", which I personally think means we're going to finally have to make those extremely hard choices we haven't actually made thus far regarding the more fantastical and open-ended aspects of the narrative...Thirty Days of Night it just ain't, right now. Yet we obviously want to preserve the really distinct and unique aspects, too, because that's primarily what we have to sell it on.
