Wednesday Word-Count

A Book of Tongues = 3,265 words, which is basically all my notes transcribed and pretty much arranged. Chapters One and Two are definitely outlined, plus the basic structure for the rest of the book. I hope to produce a two-pager and break into said chapters over the remaining rest of the week, so I can have something to bring kelpqueen on Saturday (besides myself).

Similarly, the meeting re the CBC adaptation went fairly well. I'm now waiting on the guy to send me some of the earlier draft-material, so we can cobble together a six-page outline (two parts, two hours each). Then he can re-pitch it, and hopefully get me some development money.

Next on the docket: "Strange Weight", and that Goddamn FearZone column.

Hey! I remembered the Saint woman's last name. (From the residential school)

Prince. No lie.

Actually, she hasn't been 'officially' recognized as a saint by the Vatican, according to this October CBC report:

That's an interesting story, particularly so because of the Native elements and the reservation school background. V. Canadjun--just waiting for somebody to take it to Telefilm, and I don't mean that in a bad way.;)
