handful_ofdustCharles Tan speaks about Lone Star Stories #30 here (http://charles-tan.blogspot.com), favorably overall, though not so much about "Speedometer"; his thesis seems to be that while it impresses on first reading, later examinations reveal there ain't much of much there. Since it's tiny, I must admit I'm really sort of surprised that he thought it'd be one for the friggin' ages in the first place, but whatever: Thanks, Charles. Onward and upward.
