Oh God, So Tired (Pt. Infinity)

There's a guy (I assume) who's constantly running a drill in the apartment next door, which is preventing me from getting past the "Jesus, I need to sleep" portion of my day and reaching the actual sleep I crave so badly. Also, my head is stuffed up and my muscles are knotted; yesterday I felt like I might be getting a cold, but frankly, I kind of can't tell anymore. Now I just feel like shit for other reasons.
Steve got Cal off to JK/Daycare, so I'm going to try and get all the chores done. I also need to at least skim-read that huge novel about World War II my old TFS compeer/prospective boss ran over to me on Monday, so I can figure out whether or not I think I can do the job he wants me to. And I'd like to break into Chapter Four, too, or something similar...tonight is A) BodyCombat and B) the So You Think You Can Dance Canada finale, which means I'm going to be pretty busy otherwise.
Yet I did find myself looking at "The Underneath" last night, trying to jog stuff free; as I vaguely recalled, it's a perfectly viable piece that, unlike "Signal to Noise", already has a fairly intact spine. All it currently lacks is impetus.
In other news, seems that slathering your feet in Vaseline and wearing a pair of socks to bed really will solve that disgustingly dry skin problem that's been making me feel like my soles catch on the sheets every time I turn over. Who knew?

Date: 2008-12-03 10:47 pm (UTC)Ah, the things women talk about.
Or, write about.
WWII, huh? That's an interesting subject - especially when it's about parts that no one talks about - How the black people were treated when they joined up, the men who were so scared of fighting at Iwo Jima, that they threw themselves off the seabees (I think that's what they were called - not sure), before they even reached the island. They sank without any chance of being saved.
