"Real" Stuff

So...perhaps you've been wondering what's happened this week in the Actual World O' Me, instead of just enjoying all those reviews and pop-cultural comments and poems and stuff. Well, the single biggest thing which happened is that Cal started going to JK "full-time"--ie, every day, with an additional four hours of Daycare slapped on the tail-end. That means he's out of my hair for up to eight hours as of 8:00 AM, which is pretty awesome (though I still haven't really been able to use that "free" time for very much thus far, because I am A) lame and B) still not feeling so great). The amazing part is that he really seems to like it, which surprises the Hell out of me...pleasantly so, obviously. His responsiveness has also gone up exponentially, he's apparently napping and beginning to toilet-train (according to the Daycare workers), and he's going to bed at 8:00 PM instead of 9:30 or 10:00. All of which is good.

Meanwhile, Mom has gone to Portland, Oregon for a short visit/vacation--one week. I saw her off today, which ate up most of my time, but what the heck. It was good bonding. The only problem is that eventually Cal may notice Mei-Mei isn't around; I guess we'll deal with that if and when. Thus far, however, it's five days and counting with no real meltdowns. Sterling.

And now I'm exhausted, as so often seems to happen around this time of night. So I'll continue this tomorrow.

Hah, what IS it with most of my f-list having something going on with Oregon? This is hilarious. Some random person from Oregon just friended me. One f-lister just moved to Oregon. I just found out another 2 live there. Baggyeyes just mentioned a random fact about Portland and underground tunnels. You're mom is there (hope she likes her stay). I'm sure there's more I'm forgetting. And- 3 guesses where I'm based? Yeah, that would be Portland, Oregon. Hahaha. And it's all coincidence. Spooky! ^.^

Also, that's cool that things are going well with your son! Hope you feel better! :)

Synchronicity, man. Like if you're on the bus and you're thinking about a plate of shrimp, and suddenly someone around you says "shrimp", ore "plate", or "plate of shrimp"...

At any rate: Yes, I feel better overall. I'm just so happy that he's happy.
