Thanks! My Mom had a suggestion (removing the second bracketted section), and I think it does read a bit better now. But yeah, this came together very quickly and smoothly. It's just nice to be writing again.

Did I ever tell you about the creepiest "true ghost story documentary" i ever saw? It was a situtation where it really didn't matter if anything supernatural was actually going on, because the guy thought it was, and was getting more and more obsessed with figuring out what tragedy had left his house haunted, and it was a bottomless pit - everytime some ghost of an abused child showed up to tell him its tale, he'd think it was solved, but the bumps and noises would continue, and he'd dig through the ether till he found another victim (girl killed by backstreet abortion) and another (various people murdered by the abortionist who was also the guy abusing the kid) and you knew it was never going to end. And meanwhile his wife was preparing to take the kids and leave because she couldn't stand it any more.

He'd finally pulled himself out and moved his family to a differetn house, but in the interviews he still kept saying "I'm sure if I'd dug another foot deeper in the cellar I would have found the bones,' and that sort of thing.

Wow! That's amazing. I'd love to see it...a classic sort of double-exposure psychological horror story. Can you remember what the title was?

Haunted house

There's a loneliness to it. Like being left behind.

I hope ChiZine takes it. I'll send chickens with frickin' lasers on their heads their way if they don't.
