Oh, The Cleverness of Me!
Something I’ve been planning to do for a while, now:
Perhaps you’ve been reading my blog, and wonder who I am/why I think I’m all that (ha, ha). Since the only samples of my writing you’ve seen are those smutty, copyright-infringing ones I give away intermittently, maybe you’d even like to read something a bit more…authentic. Thus—
A Brief Guide to Gemma Files’ Original Writing, As Accessible on Tha Intranetz (Oldest Stuff First)
Excerpts from “Hidebound”, in TransVersions #5, here (http://www.transversions.com/issue5.html).
Excerpts from “Torch Song”, in TransVersions #8/9, here (http://www.transversions.com/issue8.html).
“Pretend That We’re Dead”, in The Three-Lobed Burning Eye #7, here (http://www.owlsoup.com/3LBE/issue7/3lbe7_story1.html).
“Villa Locusta”, in The Harrow, here (http://www.theharrow.com/journal/index.php?journal=journal&page=article&op=view&path%5B%5D=2025&path%5B%5D=474).
Download entire text of “Landscape with Maps & Legends: Dead Voices on Air” in .pdf form here, as part of Suspect Thoughts #17 (http://www.suspectthoughts.com/journal/suspect%20thoughts%20journal%2017.pdf).
Dowload entire text of “Spectral Evidence”, ChiZine Leisure Books Short Story Contest-winner for 2006, in .pdf form here (http://chizine.com/c-stc12.htm).(Edited to amend: This no longer seems to be available...if it is, please show me where, and I'll revise. Too bad.)
Also found, while searching: A nice (if short) new review of Words Written Backwards, here (http://www.shebytches.com/lipstikbooks.html). Score!

If I wasn't intimidated before, I certainly am now. You definitely have a gift!

Usually that happens when I've just put my mostly dead G4 to permanent sleep, and my car decided to break down. :(
I still love the creepy, disgusting, yet strangely compelling Kissing Carrion. Maybe that inspired Rosa.

But wow, I'm still so glad you liked "Kissing Carrion". That one often sends people running for the hills, never to return, except to shout: "Oh, there is something wrong with you!"....and not in the good way, either.;)
