Signing on from school, where I just finished up with a day's worth of pitches and visual presentations. It actually went surprisingly well, so that's nice, but I'm pretty tired and need to waste an hour before BodyCombat. So:

1. Name a character and I'll tell you three (or more) facts about them from my own personal pseudo-canon.

2. If you had could command me to write anything, regardless of whether I know the fandom or if anybody even writes fic in that fandom and no matter how crack-addled it might be, what would you love to see me write?

(Questions about my own fiction are also perfectly permissable.;)) Have fun!

So okay, I'd have you write the infinite seasons of Firefly that never were. And then I'd ask you to write some Veronica Mars. And then Buffy. And Angel. I'd ask you to write the Alien3 movie that should have been. And Alien5 as it should be.

Man, I sort of wish I could write Firefly, but it takes a certain Whedonesqueness I simply don't have access to. Which is too bad...Alien I could probably do, though. I mean, I know I could write a version of Alien3 in which Newt doesn't "have" to fuckin' die, if nothing else.;)

Tobias Beecher. hi you don't know me but i thought i'd give this a try

Well, listen: It's been a while, and I sometimes think that if I never find myself back in Beecher's headspace, I'll be fine with that. But:

1. In Beecher's world, something really can be a lie and the truth at the same time. It's Lawyer 101. So he can say "I love you!" to Chris, and mean it in the moment, while simultaneously coldly thinking: There, that's good for a week of back-up, if he doesn't get off on that bullshit but I dreamed I went to Hell, so this is suddenly wrong tangent again, or whatever.

2. The older he gets in Oz, this brave new world of gods and monsters, the more clearly he realizes that anything can be "liquor"--permission to fuck up, license to kill, the key that takes you out of yourself just far enough to give you both a necessary strategic perspective and destroy your inhibitions about using it. He'll always be a drunk in search of a bender, and if things get bad enough, even spasmodically continuing the feud with Vern will do as a fall-back position. 'Till that's gone too, of course.

3. He likes Fleetwood Mac, and makes no apologies for it.
