Sock-Puppetry

So this guy sends me an email asking me if I'd let his puppet interview me at the Festival of Fear for a TV show he's taping; he seems to have chosen me pretty much at random, the email is very badly-written and -spelled, and I smell a hoax. I ask him if it's anything like Ed the Sock and wonder why, exactly, he picked my name out of the hat--but if the whole purpose is to insult me and mock my work, then no. He fires back a huge missive calling me hot-headed, "ignorant", admitting he doesn't know himself why he even wanted to talk to me, and implying that the reason I'm not more famous is that I'm not open to BS like this. I reply: "Yes, that's about what I thought. Thanks anyhow."

Wow. Did that actually HAPPEN?
