House Of No Sleep

handful_ofdustHey, that sounds like a short story title! A really boring short story, probably. Especially if it was accurate.
Anyhow: Yesterday was a crazy grind which had me literally rushing from pillar to post, never pausing in any one spot for more than an hour. OTOH, I got Cal over to his new school for an introductory tour, then back over to Surrey Place; I was able to file the all-important busing request paperwork, then catch a 1:15 PM BodyFlow class. OTotherH, I then had to immediately run out the door, go back to Surrey Place and pick him up again. And then I spelled Steve for his own workout while cooking dinner, got Cal off to bed, watched So You Think You Can Dance Canada Season Four's first episode, finished off Battle: Los Angeles and Red Riding Hood, and went (intermittently) to bed. When I woke I was so tired I begged off today's psychiatrist's appointment, because I genuinely felt an hour's more sleep might help me more than whining about not getting enough sleep.
However, then I Googled myself, and got this (http://jenemoore.wordpress.com/2011/06/20/hot-off-the-press-rope-thorns/). Granted, it had been prefaced with this wonderful in-progress notes breakdown on Goodreads...

(In keeping with the total insomniac stupidity theme of the day, meanwhile, I totally forgot to mention that two of my poems--"Lie-Father" and "Haruspexy" [now called, more accurately, "Haruspicy"]--have placed at Strange Horizons. So there you go: More good news. Next up on Pop World, laundry!)
