You are correct, on all counts. The implied hostility/rudeness towards Charlene, Hayden and Wesley was particularly choice, in context; yes, I suppose I could have kept my annoying little dog-with-hands at home, as could Paul and Susan. But when you're in somebody else's friggin' HOUSE, and you essentially start laying into them for daring to appear in public shackled to a k-i-d...where does she expect them to go? It's a conundrum, all right--one worthy of Schrodinger at his best. Oh look, I made a SF/science reference! Guess the baby-having hasn't completely wrecked my geek gene, after all.;)
