I totally want to go back and watch a bunch of von Sternberg/Dietrich films, now. I'd've loved to have seen the bulk of Shanghai Express, for example, which ends with a clinch between her and Clive Brook in which she cunningly slips his swagger stick/riding crop free of its holster and lets it fall, forgotten.;)
