One of the many, many things I loved about Sherlock was the portrayal of Lestrade, who's normally something of an incompetent. Here he knows full well when he needs Holmes' help to get to the bottom of something weird, but unlike Watson (so far), the glitter was worn off and he can see Holmes' faults, the biggest being he may well go up in flames one day and take people with him.
And the little pop-ups of "Holmes' Vision" were great. Ditto Ms. Hudson just assuming they're gay.
