Huh

What I usually refer to as "the yearly bitch-slap from Prime Books" came today, and for once, it's a genuine chunk of change, as opposed to a reminder that fifteen years' worth of my stories are mainly accessible through two collections no one seems to know exist (particularly The Worm in Every Heart). But yes, something finally seems to be changing: 28 copies of Kissing Carrion sold over 2009, plus a whopping 25 of The Worm... Pretty sure I have my various recent editors and publishers to thank for that, from CZP to Norilana, Dark Arts, Ellen Datlow and Goblin Fruit, etc. Actually, considering how depressed I was about my life just last birthday, it's been a damn amazing couple of years.;)

Meanwhile: Just got done signing the sheets for the hardback edition and chatting with jack_yoniga over coffee, which was a fun way to spend my typical Tuesday time between delivering Cal to Surrey Place and having to go pick him back up again. But now I'm almost out the door once more, so...later!

Here's hoping 2010 is even better :)

Well, actually, *I* know they exist. They're on my shelf between "Tales of HP Lovecraft" and "The Complete Works of Saki." And I keep hoping there'll be a third collection one of these times. So nyahh. 8)

Ah HAH! Mystery solved.;)

Well...thanks, obviously. And yes, one way or another, there will.

Working on it.;)

Yeah, I'm really cheered by the idea of so many people taking the plunge. It's amazing--like it quadrupled in one twelve-month period.

Well, I have both copies. Ring of Fire has one of the nastiest, craziest bastards I've read in awhile. And then...!

Ah yes, Mister Grammar. Still one of my faves.;)

Is it wrong that I find the last line of that story weirdly...touching?

Since I meant it to be? No.;)
