I enjoy SGA, but not for Hewlett. Well, not exactly. I like his character just fine, but I don't get the Hewlett=sex god thing. Not at all. You might call him cute, but that about covers it. Joe Flanigan, however. Now that guy is fuckin' hot!
But however it's done, I do truly enjoy the McShep fanfic phenomenon. I could lose the tv show without too much pain, but I love my McShep fic!
About Steve. That just makes me sad to hear. I don't ever intend to get married, but if I wanted to, I should have the same opportunity to do so as any straight person. Where does all this hate come from? What did I ever do to them to make them hate me so? I just find it really hard to understand. Sigh.
