Easter Weekend

Thus far, a mixture of "pretty good" and "not-so-". Awful night Thursday, then on Friday I managed to burn the crap out of my hand while making French toast (really bad French toast), due to back-slop; it's better now, but sports a huge port-wine blotch that looks like England from some angles. Saturday it was Steve's turn to have slept badly and wake queasy/exhausted, but we ended the night with a screening of The Haunting in Connecticut (old school) and a good dinner out. Then I dreamed ferociously, woke contorted and am currently in the grips of intestinal distress. Tonight = Easter Dinner with the Barringers. Tomorrow = all day with Cal. Almost no writing achieved.

OTOH, I got hold of the Gutter Twins' Saturnalia, by nefarious means. And I've read two equally cheerfully bad horror novels in as many days (James Herbert's The Fog, Edward Lee's Monstrosity), plus Harley Quinn: Preludes and Knock-Knock Jokes, which is frantic but fun. She'd be great to do "girl stuff" with, up until she went off on you for some reason and slammed you with a massive mallet.

Okay: Need to eat, dress, etc. The day awaits.
