Friday Update
Aug. 15th, 2014 10:34 am"This Old Death" now has 402 hits, three bookmarks, but still only two comments, one which is me replying to someone else. For God's sake, please ask me questions about this thing! I mean, if it interests you.:)
Over the last two nights, I've re-watched Season One (easy enough) and am now going to go ahead with Season Two. OTOH, I can totally get behind Jon Bernthal's struggle to find more in Shane Walsh than there actually was, but what I'm also seeing is exactly how little "there there" he had to work with from the very beginning. Shane's problem is that he's not the inverse of Rick, by a long shot--he's not very much like Rick at all, really, though I can understand why he felt drawn to stand next to him all the time. And Bernthal himself is certainly charismatic enough that you understand why people want to stand next to him, if ya know what I mean...but man, he's hard work. Hard work and not a lot of fun even when things are going well, which they palpably aren't, and never will be again.
Otherwise, today is Steve's last day of work before his two-week staycation, which means that soon I will be once more free to do stuff taht doesn't require me dragging Cal along which I do it. Like get a haircut, for example: that's top of the charts. Work on stuff that takes more than an hour to complete. Go out alone. All of this would be nice.
Okay, off to core tarining.
