Ah, Insomnia
Aug. 20th, 2010 10:25 am...with lashings of "just finished one story, gotta go back to the book/turn around and figure out which other story to do next", piled in on top. I have a very vague outline for one, an approved outline for the other, and two possibilities to choose from for the final selection, depending on which of them snaps awake first; the first two are at least short, which may help. And those 660 words I laid in on A Rope... yesterday were indeed very useful, in retrospect, though I think it's also definitely time to start shuffling and excising stuff in the Big File, hopefully sooner than later. The beat, she stutters on.
Slightly more problematic is the fact that that smell from the soaked carpet has officially now become a nose-tugging reek, implying the presence of underpad mildew. This means, essentially, that we may be looking at replacing the entire carpet, which would be both costly and time-consuming. At least I know who might be able to do it for me, if nothing else...same guy who did the new floor in Cal's room. If I can get a hold of him, that is.
Rrrrgh. Why is nothing frigging simple?
Okay. Coffee. Wordage.
