Woesday (Already)
Jul. 21st, 2010 10:47 amI believe today's word would be "asscraptastic", if such a word actually existed. Still, we've finally managed to make our way through almost all the various hoops of refinancing our mortagage, hopefully folding in all our credit debt, so that's something. It doesn't mean we'll have multo "new" money immediately, but at least it'll make it managable, and that'll be a help, especially in terms of those many nagging things-we-need-to-do that we haven't hitherto been able to, because they simply cost more than we can budget for.
However. I need to clock some real wordage today, as well as hopefully Thursday and Friday, since this weekend is once again already given away--we have to drive up to Port Dover on Saturday, see Mom's last show, then drive back down. While there, we'll also meet Mom's younger half-brother, who suddenly popped up a few months back looking for information on their mutual deadbeat Dad, the legendary David Darwin Hoover; that should be fun. And all of this with Cal in tow! I should have my fucking head examined.
"It could be fun, though?" She asked me, yesterday, and then mocked me when I felt constrained to answer: "I guess we'll see." Because yes, she's right--I do tend to assume things will suck. That way, I'm seldom as disappointed as I used to be, back when I hoped uselessly that things might generally turn out to be awesome.
Okay, got to go. Have an entry (found through yuki-onna) on undebateably awesome Jewish pirates, here (http://ratmmjess.livejournal.com/227483.html).
