"Copy Degredation", the flash piece I wrote for Black Static magazine's Campaign for Real Fear, is at the top of their Top Twenty list, here (http://campaignforrealfear.wordpress.com/2010/04/30/the-top-twenty/). Whacky! It was a truly interesting challenge to set myself, for which I really have to thank campaign co-managers Maura McHugh and Christopher Fowler. And as an achievement, it also really helps to distract me from the fact that I currently feel like I got run over with a Mack truck that then backed up and ran my broken body over a few more times, all while I was asleep.
The file for "The Shrines" is now at least 4,000 words long, and last night I put 925 of them in order. I hope to get the rest of them laid in today, re-check it a few times, and send it off. Serious wire time. I feel bad about it, but...such is life. And even if it doesn't end up getting into [redacted], I still appreciate the opportunity to make deadline.
All right...on your mark, get set. Go.
