"Done"

Up 'til 5:00 A.M., again. By the time I was finished, I'd cut over 100 pages out of the book, and I know it's a far better read for it. What sort of amazes me, at this point, is that I ever sent my first draft to anybody, regardless of whether they asked for it or not.;) I guess I can just thank God/Whoever that when I was stupid enough to do so, they actually turned out to like it.

But: Hopefully, it was enough. The ARC draft is done. I'll get to check it over again before we go to press for reals, though. Looking forward to that.

And tomorrow it's back on the Rope of Thorns horse, because I really want that excerpt for the Book of Tongues hardcover to be as good as humanly possible. But for now...I'm just fucking beat. Think I'll finish The Choir Boats, and go to bed early.
