751 words added; second section achieved, along with a third, and we're moving quickly into the fourth. Not bad, for a grotesquely humid day that began with me so stuffed up I was literally half-deaf.

In other news, I'm picking up Secret Six again: First the latest collection, Unhinged, and then the most recent run, in which the Six try to fight Wonder Woman for about five seconds, before figuring out they should hightail it out of there like fierce, morally-compromised little bitches.;) One of the things I like best about the Six is that while they're hell on normal people--Scandal takes out an entire platoon of guards all by herself, with a nasty smile and the offer of a few moments' pause to let them phone home and say goodbye, if they want to--they all of them know that as metahumans, they're down the bottom of the food-chain; B-listers on a good day, D-listers on a bad. Not even remotely qualified to take on a demigoddess, under any circumstances...

And yet: When the chips are down, they will, if only for sheer perversity's sake. 'Cause that's just how they roll.
