A Book of Tongues: THUD
Sep. 18th, 2009 12:00 amMaybe 1,500 more, maybe 2,000--the middle is slowly taking shape, sewing both ends back together. But it's still not done!
And Supernatural cut out fifteen minutes from the episode's end, probably due to some sort of massive failure at Rogers Cable. But just like I have high hopes of finishing this endless screwfest sometime tomorrow, I have equally high hopes of being able to catch up with it later on. This is a show that cycles from Sun TV to Space, after all, and Space shows it maybe three times a week. It'll happen.;)
Last night I started watching Gangs of New York again, after a very long period away. And I thought: You know, after Book, I almost think I will be ready to finally write The Heart's Filthy Lesson, without worrying too much of my head over dumb little considerations like...research, plot, and such, as they extend beyond non-PC historical references, grotesque set-pieces and creepy relationships galore.
Which made me happy, as a prospect. Because--where else would a narrative in which two different versions of Daniel Day-Lewis (one a woman, one not) get to eventually make out with each other play out, after all? Only in my whack-ass universe of criminal armies and vampiric magic-users, for sure!
Granted, it'll still be pretty dicey, but at least there'll be lots of lady characters, to make up for it. So take note, folks.;))
