May. 25th, 2009 07:44 pmIn an effort to help the people who'll be helping me get my big gay black magic Weird West epic (now with extra Mayan-Aztec pantheon fuckery action) out there, I'd like to direct people towards this post (http://jack-yoniga.livejournal.com/264284.html), in which ChiZine Publications nicely/crazily offers 15% off on The Tel Aviv Dossier pre-orders.
Having personally finally read the first-three-chapters sample download they've been offering, I've got to say that you very much should take them up on it, because this book--co-written by cheerful maniacs Lavie Tidhar and Nir Yaniv--is officially Zee Sheet, double capitals. Written in a faux-documentary style which somewhat mimics Cloverfield (by way of Nine Inch Nails' Year Zero project tie-in "The Hour of Arrival"), Tidhar and Yaniv jack the Lovecraftian overtones to eleventy-one, adding massive doses of both Judaic apocrypha and general all-religions-inclusive Middle Eastern mayhem. In other words, if we had better credit, I'd be ordering one, and ASAP...just to find out what the (fresh) hell happens at the end!
Oh my GOD, I'm happy to be associated with these people. They truly do give you something to live up to.;)
