My friend-and-boss glamberson has nicely blurbed the upcoming release of Mighty Unclean at FearZone, here (http://www.fearzone.com/blog/cemma-unclean). He's also used the patented "sexy picture" of me, which honesty requires me to point out is now at least ten years out of date and...not particularly accurate. So if you're expecting me to look like that at Ad Astra, um--sorry.;)
Otherwise: Bought DVDs of Phase IV, the only film ever directed by Saul Bass--which remains stark, impressive, creepy and trippy, as only befits an early 1970s tale of speculative bug-horror put together by the dude responsible for both the Vertigo and Psycho credits sequences--and Death Note and Death Note II: The Last Name, the two live-action adaptations of (strangely) Death Note. I'm about halfway through installment one, and finding it interesting, if crude; there's been a LOT of ret-con aimed at making Light look "better" (and far less gay), most of which I find hilarious. I also sincerely think the guy playing Light is miscast, especially going by the guy playing L. Still, I'll certainly watch the rest of it.
