Yes, my life is rocketting by at quite the clip. Some highlights:

1. The Crazy Dutch finally paid me! Without me having to go all Medieval on their butt-ox!

2. Spent Wednesday night and most of Thursday with a simus headache that felt like a massive spike in my eye-socket. It's gone now (crosses fingers).

3. Danny and Sabra made the Top Two on So You Think You Can Dance 3, and SABRA WON. Mom's annoyed, because she thinks Danny walks on water (and probably feels sorry for his Mom, both of whose sons have now placed second). But I'm elated--Sabra is an incredible dancer, started out good and just got better. She's a true partner and a true soloist, and it was damn time a woman won this thing.

4. Watched David Lynch's latest, Inland Empire, which was fascinatingly odd. I think he's finally graduated to the phase of his career in which his pieces are mostly about various metaphorical reflections of concepts rather than anything like characters who exist in a linear world. Then again, it might have been about the relationship between actors (or whores) and directors (or hypnotists). Still, I'd rather watch a Lynch film I have to strain to grasp and feel like I'm probably superimposing my own values on in a vague attempt to pull meaning from it than much of the crap currently playing in theatres.

5. And in career news, drumroll please..."Words Written Backwards" has officially sold to Burning Effigy, which means it will be getting the General Slocum's Gold treatment. Also, two people want to interview me, so I must be doing something right; oh, and did I tell you guys about being interviewed for a TV retrospective piece on John Paizs' Crime Wave last week? 'Cause I was.;)

All right, school awaits. I need to make myself look acceptable.
