Input and coallate notes for No Vacancies (Half done); Bill Burke wants to be at "phase two"--screenplay--by the 19th (Aaagh!); promised him the one-pager and ten-pager by Friday (Not done, but working on it).
Yesterday afternoon/evening we spent at Steve's sister Kate's for Thanksgiving dinner; elder Barringers, Cal's cousins were all in attendance. Dinner was good. Cal chased the elder kids and was chased by them in return, marking the first time I've seen him respond to them as more than worrying annoyances. He also fell down the basement stairs, but seems unharmed; Kate and her husband Paul assure me that this is something which happens fairly frequently, when small people are crossbred with the interior of their house.
More annoying is this feeling I have that I'm getting whatever Cal had/has, since my eyes are almost continually burning, itching and gumming, along with attendant nasal congestion. If I was allergic to anything but wood-mould you can only find in deep forest, I might think it was some sort of reaction..,so yeah, maybe I should go see somebody about that. But not today.
In other news, a former student of mine wants to hire me to story-edit a feature script of hers, which I have no objection to (especially since it's a paying gig). Deal memo supposedly to follow. Energy! I just wish I felt a little better, in context.
Okay, screw this. Coffee, Tylenol Cold and Sinus, try to get more No Vacancies done before Cal and Steve redescend on me. Tonight: Heroes!
