Hate All I
Apr. 28th, 2006 04:20 pmSo...I'd been somewhat looking forward to talking excitedly about the delicious craziness of The Revenger's Tragedy, which I'm reading for the first time right now, but the problem is that last night, I stupidly downloaded something (an e-book about how best to maximize my writing potential, in case you're wondering--oh, and actually, it gets better: One of this woman's prime directives is to do regular maintenance on your computer, always back up all your files, etc.) which completely fucked up my hard drive. It took everything out of my Extensions folder and spewed it all around, destroying my ability to get onto the 'Net, to open anything...oh, it was choice. Still is, because it's now grindingly slow, so much so that I can't do anything 'Net-related at home except check my mail once before the whole system crashes. At least my data's still there, but I get the feeling I'm going to have to just use the iMac as a word processor for a while, before saving everything I've written this/last year to CD and then shutting it all down, wiping, defragging, reinstalling. Christ!
Aaaaanyhow, that's the current state of the me, and cheap books from the downstairs sale at the CBC aren't enough to compensate. Now I must go do my banking, and go home.
