More More More (How D'You Like It?)
Mar. 25th, 2005 12:47 amMichael never showed up and never phoned to say why, which was a little weird; I guess we’ll catch up later. But Steve let me write all day nevertheless, and the results were choice--1,004 new words, taking me through two more sections and placing me just about nose-to-nose with the big set-piece that ends this chapter. I’m looking forward to it like cheese, or cake, or whatever the cool kids are saying these days.;) Because then I can go on to the next chapter, and then to the next, and so on…
Sorry to sound a bit giddy. It’s just so fucking nice to be DOING something, you know? Aside from lifting weights or watching American Idol, or sitting around with a little boyo with a chewed-looking nose in my lap, smiling while he sucks on a devil duckie’s ass and makes noises like he’s pooping his pants (even when he isn’t).
This evening, Mom and I went to see Gurinder Chadha’s Bride & Prejudice while Steve took Cal to the World’s Biggest Bookstore. The movie was sweet, silly and utterly Bollywood; I was disproportionately amused by the fact that no one could kiss onscreen, for example, so as not to alienate the home audience. And Aishwarya Rai is hot like vindaloo curry, though I think Martin Henderson’s performance has been somewhat demonized—he seems to be suffering for the basic sin of not being Colin Firth, in most people’s eyes. But whatever.
Meanwhile, I think I may be getting slightly addicted to the novelness of having people reply to me. But here’s yet another project for me (and you!) to waste time with, anyway

1. Comment with any ship from a fandom that you know I like, or at least have some knowledge about.
2. I will ramble for 100 words about aforementioned ship. This may be incoherent gushing or exclamations of disgust, depending on what it is.
3. Put this on your LJ too, if you are so inclined.
For a sampling of what I’ve already written, inside AND outside of OZ, follow the link to Segregation in my sidebar. I look forward to seeing what y’all might come up with.
